Special Screening of ‘Jericho Ridge’ to close PriFest 15

PriFest is happy to announce that it will close its upcoming edition with a special screening of 'Jericho Ridge'. The film, produced by an international team and shot in Kosovo's picturesque landscapes, will have its regional premiere on September 17th, marking the grand finale of the festival.

‘Jericho Ridge’, directed by the BAFTA-winning and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Will Gilbey, promises a unique experience for the audience. A well-selected cast including Nikki Amuka-Bird, Zack Morris, Philipp Christopher, Trim Ademi (Capital T), Michael Socha, Simon Kunz, Chris Reilly (Game of Thrones), Solly McLeod, Zachary Hart (Peaky Blinders), Aidan Kelly and Olivia Chenery, will for 87 minutes lead the audience on the unique journey of a small-town cop who finds herself trapped and without backup as her remote sheriff's office is targeted by murderous attackers.

“I am delighted that we will close the 15th edition of PriFest with a UK-Kosovo co-production. For more, the film was shot in Kosovo with a kosovan co-producer and many kosovan crew members. This is another step forward in the development of our local film industry, and I hope Jericho Ridge will be the first of many foreign films and series shot in Kosovo, not least since our new film law will enable incentives for films shot in our country,” said Fatos Berisha, director of PriFest.

Among a big team of producers are Executive Producer Mark Foligno (King’s Speech), Harvey Ascott (Shok) and co-producer Besnik Krapi who made a statement about the upcoming premiere: “I am extremely happy that we will have the regional premiere of our film at PriFest. This festival is a real promoter of our domestic film industry and community, and a regional hub for networking, which is always the first step for new collaborations. I am happy that we will be closing this year’s edition by celebrating together with our UK-Kosovo crew."

Mr Krapi led a Kosovar team composed of Burim Arifi, Blendina Xhema, Eshref Durmishi, Blerim Shala, Gezim Berisha Giza, Lulzim Rexha, Laura Buna, Aktrina Kastrati, Mjellma Istrefi, Eset Durguti and Endrit Rugova, as well as Goran Ignjatovski from North Macedonia.

The special screening (out of competition) of ‘Jericho Ridge’ at PriFest will be a big celebration, marking the conclusion of 15 years of dedicated and passionate work for the domestic and regional film industry.
