Short Film Jury at PriFest 2025

The Short Film Jury of this year brings together an outstanding group of film professionals from the region and Austria.

Salma Abdalla
Currently works at the Austrian Film Institute. She was co-owner and CEO of Autlook Filmsales, a Vienna-based agency. She has served as an executive producer, mentor, and jury member at leading festivals and industry events, is an expert at the EAVE Producer Lab, and is a member of the European Film Academy.

Fatmir Koçi
Studied acting and film directing in Tirana, where he lives and works. He has written and directed films and documentaries selected at major film festivals such as Venice, Cannes, Rotterdam, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, Athens, Montreal, Palm Springs, New York, London, and more. His cinema explores contemporary Albania, its history, and its place in European and Mediterranean culture.

Visare Aliu
A playwright, screenwriter, and communication strategist from Kosovo. Currently Chairwoman of the Board at the National Theatre of Kosovo. She was the screenwriter of Familja Moderne, the most popular TV sitcom in Kosovo. Beyond theatre and television, she works as a senior copywriter and communication strategist at Koperativa, combining creativity with strategic insight in cultural and marketing projects.

Gentian Koçi
Born in Tirana in 1979, he co-founded Artalb Film Productions. He has directed and produced acclaimed films that have screened at major international festivals, receiving numerous awards and praise from outlets such as Variety, Screen Daily, and The Hollywood Reporter. Daybreak (Dita zë fill) and A Cup of Coffee and New Shoes On were Albania’s official Oscar entries. He took part in the Producers on the Move program at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023.

Valmira Hyseni
A producer and director from Kosovo, co-founder and CEO of Plan Bee Films. She is a board member of the Kosovo Producers’ Association. With over 10 years of experience in the film industry, she has produced dozens of short films, features, and documentaries, with hundreds of selections at festivals such as Toronto, San Sebastian, Cairo, Torino, Busan, and many more.

PriFest will take place from September 9–14 at Kino Armata in Prishtina.
