Regional Premiere of the Film AND THE WIND WEEPS to Close the Medium-Length Film Competition at PRIFEST

The unique medium-length film competition will conclude with the regional premiere of AND THE WIND WEEPS by director Aulona Selmani.

The film tells the story of Daut, a survivor of a massacre where his son was killed, has been rehearsing a letter for 20 years on what he will say if Hague ever calls him to testify for the horrors he has seen that day. The burden of memories gets heavier when he gets the news that his brother died of an illness, making Daut the only last survivor to remember the event. His mind starts to fail him on important details of the testimony. He might never bring justice for his son. For his brother. For his friends. Will the dead forgive him for giving up and being handed over to oblivion?

Under the direction and screenplay of Aulona Selmani, the film will have its regional premiere at PriFest. The producer of the film is Lauro Jenni.

The cast includes actors from Kosovo, such as Bislim Muçaj, Kumrije Hoxha, Armend Smajli, Afrim Muçaj, and Ermal Sadiku.

Selmani’s previous film, Si në vaj, won an award at last year’s PriFest.

The film will be screened on September 14, 2024, at Kino Armata, in the 17:00 block of films.
