PRIFEST presents the line-up of the Short Film Category (competitive)

We present lineup of the Short Films Competition program. 2 World premieres, 1 regional and 4 Kosovo premieres will mark this exciting selection.

MOTËR - by Dorenina Imeri, Switzerland/ Kosovo Premiere (14 min).
An Albanian family struggles to stay afloat and integrate in Switzerland. In the process, the learning difficulties of the youngest family member put the family to an additional test. The parents lack the time and money to support her in school. To prevent the thread from breaking, the older sister of the immigrant family takes on all the responsibility and puts her needs in the background.

HOME OF THE HEART - by Sarah Saidan, France/ Kosovo Premiere (14 min).
Omid is an Iranian immigrant who came to France with his family. One evening, in the street, he is attacked and stabbed in the heart. At the hospital, the diagnosis is formal: he has no heart. Has he left it behind in Iran?

A young scam call operator is thrust into a moral dilemma as she navigates a life-changing situation.

LULLABY - by Adrian Asllani, Kosovo; Switzerland/ World Premiere (15 min).
In a secluded house, a passionate doll maker lives alone with his ill son. The boy barely sleeps and is worried the king in black is coming to get him. The father is sure that these are fever dreams until suddenly locked doors burst open on their own.

ROADTRIPPER - by Christophe Granger, France/ Regional Premiere(21 min).
Nino, 19 years old, is a highway vagabond. Every years, he is looking forward the summer and the sun to go on a road trip across the country and sleep outside. One day, he meets Sarah at a rest stop.

FRIDA - by Aleksandra Odić, Germany/ Kosovo Premiere (23 min).
An encounter between a young nurse and her patient of the same age, Frida, on the border of professional distance and the desire for closeness.

PALMA - by Gabriel Camaj, Montenegro/ World Premiere (23 min).
A young girl by the name of Ana and her father run a bakery together for a few years. Ever since his wife (Ana's mother) has died, he has been afraid to be alone, so he tries to control Ana and usually overworks her. This has forced Ana to plan an escape from her father by planning to move out with her boyfriend. She has been saving money for 6 years and now it finally looks like she might leave.
