As has become tradition, PriFest will close the edition with a Special Screening.
The closing film for this edition is Phantom Youth by the acclaimed director and screenwriter Luana Bajrami.
Phantom Youth will be screened on the final night, before the awards ceremony, on September 15 at 19:00.
Phantom Youth is a co-production between Kosovo and France and addresses important themes such as the search for personal freedom, friendship, and the challenges of growing up in an environment with limited opportunities.
Zoé and Volta leave their remote village to enter Pristina University. Amidst social and political tensions, the two women discover a country in turmoil, seeking its identity on the eve of independence and whose youth have been forgotten.
Directed and written by Luana Bajrami, the film is produced by Val Rahmani, Eric Toledano, Olivier Nakache, Nicolas Duval Adassovsky, and Hervé Ruet.
The main cast includes Albina Krasniqi, Elsa Mala, Don Shala, Aurora Ferati, and Gani Rrahmani.
This is Luana Bajrami’s second feature film, which had its world premiere last year at the Venice Film Festival. Her first film, Luaneshat e kodrës, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and won two awards at PriFest 2021.
