MEET THE JURY OF THE MEDIUM-LENGTH FILMS CATEGORY

In this unique competitive category in the region, dedicated to medium-length films (25-60 min), the jury for this edition consists of:

YOUSAF ALI KHAN
A director from the United Kingdom, Yousaf's films address issues of identity, marginalization, and belonging. He has received numerous awards for his work, including two BAFTA nominations for the films "SKIN DEEP" and "TALKING WITH ANGELS." His debut feature film, "ALMOST ADULT," tells the story of two children seeking asylum in the UK while fleeing civil war. "NO WAY HOME" explores the concepts of family and identity, and it won the PriGlobal Film Week award.

AURITA AGUSHI
Aurita Agushi was born in Gjilan, Kosovo, on October 24, 1975. She completed her primary and secondary education in her hometown. In 2003, she graduated from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina, majoring in Acting under Professor Enver Petrovci. Aurita has performed in numerous productions at the National Theatre of Kosovo and other theaters within and outside of Kosovo, including “One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest,” “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” “Romeo and Juliet,” “Roberto Zucco,” “Lysistrata,” and “The Trojan Women.”
Her films include “Kukumi,” “Three Windows and a Hanging,” “Agnus Dei,” and “Father,” which have participated in prestigious festivals such as Sarajevo’s “Hearts” and the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, winning numerous awards and participating in other global festivals. Notably, she starred in "Shok," which was nominated for an Oscar by the American Academy of Film. Among her many awards for theater and film as best actress and supporting actress, she was also nominated for Best Actress at the Manhattan Short Film Festival.

ALMIR DJIKOLI
Almir Djikoli, a director of photography, was born in Sarajevo in 1974. He graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. Over his 28-year career, he has worked on 14 feature films, six television series, and more than 20 feature-length documentaries. He has won several international awards in cinematography. Almir is the founder of the Association of Cinematographers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a member of the International Federation of Cinematographers IMAGO. He currently teaches at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo.

The 16th edition of PriFest will take place from September 10-15, 2024, at Kino Armata.
