Ingvar Sigurdsson is one of Iceland’s most acclaimed actors, with a career spanning over three decades across film, television, and theatre.
His film credits include Godland, The Northman, A White, White Day, The Shrouds, Lamb, Of Horses and Men, and Sebastian, as well as international titles such as Justice League, Fantastic Beasts, Everest, Beowulf and Grendel, K-19: The Widowmaker, and Rebel Moon parts 1 and 2. On television, he has appeared in Trapped, Succession, Katla, Blackport, Balls, Killing Eve, and King and Conqueror.
Sigurdsson’s awards include the 2023 Danish Bodil Prize for Godland, Best Actor at Cannes Critics’ Week for A White, White Day, and Best Actor at Clermont-Ferrand for O (Hringur). He has been nominated three times for the European Film Awards, winning in 2000 for Angels of the Universe, and was named a European Shooting Star at the Berlin International Film Festival.
17th edition of PriFest will be held from 9-14 September at Kino Armata, Prishtina.
