Through its partnership with the British Council in Kosovo, PriFest brings to Kosovo the PlayUK platform and a number of film industry experts.
This year, PriFest is collaborating with the British Council to bring not only cinematic productions from this country to Kosovo, but also a number of guests and experts who through their workshops will share the knowledge in the field of script development and in the very attractive topic of virtual reality (Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality).
PlayUK is a collection of the most successful films coming from British cinematography - all Kosovo premieres. It is comprised of attractive films that tell interesting stories, in which a number of well-known British actors play roles.
Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy these events in the warm nights of July, either at the open air cinema at Zahir Pajaziti square, in the National Theatre (2 halls) or at Kino Armata, our newest location, all during the PriFest week, 17-22 July 2018.
Additionally, PriFest has also organized two workshops in collaboration with the British Council, bringing two great experts with vast experience in their field:
- The regular PriFest Script Development workshop, which this year will be led by Clare Downs
- The Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality Workshop, which will be led by Simon Wilkinson, an expert who has received tremendous ratings from many prestigious magazines, has worked in many countries, and whose work has been exhibited at Tate Modern in London.
The film projects participating in this workshop, already selected (in total 4 projects), will benefit from a two-day Script Development workshop, a workshop that is now conducted for many years within the framework of PriFORUM during the festival days, led by Clare Downs.
The other workshop that PriFest will conduct in collaboration with British Council is led by Simon Wilkinson.
This workshop will last two days and its intention is to get participants quickly through the “Unity” software learning curve, to be up and running making content by the end of the two days with a clear understanding of how to move forward with their own projects.
Unity is the preferred software tool used by the majority of VR creators, it comes in a free version and enables creators to produce interactive immersive content for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear and many other VR platforms.
Anyone interested to participate in this workshop - filmmakers, architects, visual artists and electro-musicians - must apply before July 10 at: https://prifest.net/application-for-vr-ar-workshop/
The number of places for this workshop is limited and all selected participants should bring their own laptops to the workshop, so that they can install the Unity software on them. The workshop is free of charge and lasts two days.
