PriFest Focus: The United Kingdom

In the 16th edition of PriFest, the traditional non-competitive program “Focus” will showcase the film industry of the United Kingdom. This special festival category aims to present the cinema of a particular country, in this case, British cinema, and offer the Kosovar audience a unique selection of contemporary films from this nation.

This program is supported by the British Embassy in Kosovo.

• THE LAST SWIM by Sasha Nathwani, United Kingdom / Regional Premiere (100 min).
  It’s summer in London. On her last day of freedom, Ziba, a British-Iranian teenager, takes her friends on an eventful journey while secretly grappling with a decision that will change her life.
• NO WAY HOME by Yousaf Ali Khan, United Kingdom / Special Screening - PriGlobal 2024 Winner (105 min).

  Ryan doesn’t remember his dad but still dreams of him returning one day. So, when he discovers a man hiding out in the wasteland near his house, it’s a dream come true. Or is it?

  

• KING BABY by Kit Redstone & Arran Shearing, United Kingdom, France / Regional Premiere (89 min).

  A modern fairytale plays out in a crumbling kingdom populated only by a King and a Servant. The arrival of a mannequin Queen throws their carefully constructed world into a whirlwind of isolation, madness, and murderous megalomania.

  

The 16th edition of PriFest will be held from September 10-15, 2024, at Kino Armata, Prishtina.
